About the role
- Fortifying our organization's data, systems, and networks; leading strategic cybersecurity initiatives, implementing advanced security measures, and managing ongoing security operations.
- Provides strategic leadership for cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develops and maintains a forward-looking cybersecurity roadmap.
- Oversees the development and enforcement of enterprise-wide security policies and procedures.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity incidents, coordinating executive-level response and remediation.
- Partners with executive leadership to ensure cybersecurity strategies support business objectives.
- Leads and mentors the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Enhances cybersecurity communication and reporting to executive leadership.
- May lead projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Occasional business travel may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
- Ten (10) plus years of experience in cybersecurity, with a proven record of leadership.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) certifications are a plus.
- Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Deep expertise in security architecture, risk management, and compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of security technologies and practices.
- Experience with cloud security and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Occasional business travel may be required.
