About the role
- Provide general clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department.
- Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Assist the Human Resources Manager with the 30-, 60-, and 120-day new hire follow-up process.
- Manage internal requisitions and support unemployment claims.
- Conduct exit interviews with team members up to the Lead level and communicate feedback to management.
- Support new hire orientation, including the I-9 process and preparation of new hire packets.
- Participate in HR-related projects and manage the temporary employee conversion process.
- Maintain personnel files (active and terminated) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Oversee HR filing and archiving processes in compliance with HR record retention guidelines.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including interview scheduling and reference checks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- One (1) plus years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Effective organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with HRIS/HCM systems (e.g., Workday) and applicant tracking systems is a plus.
- Exposure to employment laws and regulations is desirable.
