About the role
- The Math Curriculum Development Manager will support the design, creation, and improvement of classroom-ready materials that help teachers meet their learners’ needs.
- The Manager will collaborate with a team of contractors to adapt high-quality instructional materials to work seamlessly with the Modern Classrooms Project instructional model.
- Their work will involve the training and coaching of contractors as well as reviewing their work for publication.
- The Manager will analyze data and feedback from educators using MCP’s curricular materials to iterate on and improve them.
- In developing and bettering these materials, the Manager will help MCP shape the future of math education in our partner districts and beyond.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of math curriculum and pedagogy at the K-12 level.
- Experience teaching secondary math in a traditional classroom setting (Modern Classroom implementation preferred).
- Experience developing curriculum-related materials in a full-time or contract-based capacity.
- Demonstrated exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
- Comfort with remote work in a dynamic, start-up environment.
- General knowledge of Google Suite tools, especially Google Slides & Google Sheets.
- Self-starter who can work independently and think on their feet.
- Passionate about making the world a better place, particularly through education.
