About the role
- Provide service and customer support during on-site visits
- Diagnose, test, and repair vehicles utilizing computerized diagnostics equipment
- Perform inspections and repairs using established procedures
- Perform light and medium duty repairs: heating and air conditioning, electrical and electronic systems, brakes, manual drivetrain, axles, suspension and steering, transmissions, engine repair
- Perform light duty engine performance repair as well as diesel engine repairs
- Prepare and submit work orders in a timely manner to assigned location
- Evaluate products for maintenance, warranty, upgrades and other purposes
- Collaborate closely with management to resolve technical issues
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or services
- Manage all on-site installation, repair, and maintenance within assigned territory and conduct customer training when required
- Respond to customer complaints timely and effectively
- Safely operate all shop equipment and follow company safety protocol
- Submit complete and accurate time sheets weekly
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum four years’ experience in light or medium duty automotive service facility
- Experience in one or more of the following designations: Automobile (A 1-9), Medium/Heavy Truck (T 1-8), School Bus (S 1-7), Transit Bus (H 1-8)
- Personal tools required
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License with passenger and air brake endorsement
- Ability to pass ASE certification tests
- Ability to achieve and maintain an efficiency level of eighty five percent or greater
- Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision

- Must be punctual
- Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds and perform frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling and climbing
- Ability to maintain a valid Commercial License, including completing DOT Medical Exam and Driving Test
