About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide service and customer support during on-site visits
- Diagnose, test, and repair vehicles utilizing computerized diagnostics equipment
- Perform inspections and repairs using established procedures
- Perform light and medium duty repairs in the following areas: Heating and air conditioning, electrical and electronic systems and brakes
- Manual drivetrain, axels, suspension and steering
- Automotive Transmission / Transaxles
- Engine Repair
- Perform light duty engine performance repair as well as diesel engines repairs
- Prepare and submit work orders in a timely manner to assigned location
- Evaluate products accurately for maintenance, warranty, upgrades and other purposes
- Collaborate closely with management to resolve technical issues
- Understand customer requirements and accordingly recommend the right products or services
- Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance works within the assigned territory and conduct customer training when required
- Understand technical problems effectively through proper analysis, evaluation and diagnoses
- Provide training to customers about product usage and maintenance
- Respond to customer complaints timely and effectively
- Must achieve and maintain an efficiency level of eighty five percent
- Safely operate all shop equipment
- Take direction, keep a positive attitude, and perform high quality work
- Maintain and protect company owned property
- Follow Company safety protocol at all times and keep work area cleaned
- Submit complete and accurate time sheets on a weekly basis to payroll
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Requires experience in one or more of the following designations: Automobile (A 1-9), Medium/Heavy Truck (T 1-8), School Bus (S 1-7), and Transit Bus (H 1-8)
- Minimum four years’ experience in light or medium duty automotive service facility
- Personal tools required
- Requires the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License with passenger and air brake endorsement
- Requires the ability to pass ASE certification test
- Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision required
- Must have a professional attitude
- Must have strong customer service skills
- Strong Leadership qualities
- Must be punctual.
