About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide service and customer support during on-site visits
  • Diagnose, test, and repair vehicles utilizing computerized diagnostics equipment
  • Perform inspections and repairs using established procedures
  • Perform light and medium duty repairs in the following areas: Heating and air conditioning, electrical and electronic systems and brakes
  • Manual drivetrain, axels, suspension and steering
  • Automotive Transmission / Transaxles
  • Engine Repair
  • Perform light duty engine performance repair as well as diesel engines repairs
  • Prepare and submit work orders in a timely manner to assigned location
  • Evaluate products accurately for maintenance, warranty, upgrades and other purposes
  • Collaborate closely with management to resolve technical issues
  • Understand customer requirements and accordingly recommend the right products or services
  • Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance works within the assigned territory and conduct customer training when required
  • Understand technical problems effectively through proper analysis, evaluation and diagnoses
  • Provide training to customers about product usage and maintenance
  • Respond to customer complaints timely and effectively
  • Must achieve and maintain an efficiency level of eighty five percent
  • Safely operate all shop equipment
  • Take direction, keep a positive attitude, and perform high quality work
  • Maintain and protect company owned property
  • Follow Company safety protocol at all times and keep work area cleaned
  • Submit complete and accurate time sheets on a weekly basis to payroll
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Requires experience in one or more of the following designations: Automobile (A 1-9), Medium/Heavy Truck (T 1-8), School Bus (S 1-7), and Transit Bus (H 1-8)
  • Minimum four years’ experience in light or medium duty automotive service facility
  • Personal tools required
  • Requires the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License with passenger and air brake endorsement
  • Requires the ability to pass ASE certification test
  • Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision required
  • Must have a professional attitude
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Strong Leadership qualities
  • Must be punctual.
