About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide legal advice and manage contracts with customers, vendors, and business partners in the Eskenazi Portfolio, focusing on the UK and Nordics
- Support M&A and day-to-day legal operations of the Aviation portfolio
- Report to the General Counsel and work closely with Aviation portfolio management as a dedicated legal resource
- Support portfolio acquisitions, including due diligence, negotiating transactional agreements, closing, and integrating acquired businesses
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer software licenses, maintenance and support services, consulting, subcontractor, project-specific, and non-disclosure agreements
- Review public and private tender responses for acceptability and compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures
- Develop and submit contract management policies, procedures, and processes
- Customize templates, create templates, draft new agreements, and negotiate terms with customers and suppliers
- Build and maintain positive relationships with business partners
- Assess risks associated with new and existing contracts
- Research international jurisdictions and recommend contract-process best practices and improvements
- Assist with M&A activities, including mergers, share or asset purchase agreements, disclosure letters, letters of intent, NDAs, board resolutions, and related agreements
- Manage post-close legal integration tasks
- Assist with policy development and training
- Perform administrative duties including board minutes and resolutions, regulatory filings, and company onboarding
- Provide legal advice to relevant stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 years of experience in an international law firm or legal department
- Must be a qualified lawyer in the UK
- Proficiency in English is mandatory
- Knowledge of Spanish, Danish, Swedish, or Italian is an advantage
- Experience in a telecommunications and/or software environment is an asset
- Background and/or experience in public procurement
- Ability to interpret, draft, and negotiate agreements
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Strong verbal, written, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of legal terminology, ethics, and integrity
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, judgment, and decision-making
- Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints, including legal and commercial needs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Ability to perform research and analysis efficiently and practically
- Ability to enforce rules, policies, and procedures
- Resourceful and flexible, with ability to adapt quickly to an intense and changing work environment
