About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer Oracle databases in production, acceptance and development environments.
  • Perform installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance of Oracle environments.
  • Handle backup, restore, recovery and retention policies.
  • Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.
  • Perform query, index, procedure, job and database parameter tuning.
  • Manage high availability, replication and disaster recovery environments.
  • Support migration, upgrade and database modernization projects.
  • Manage users, permissions, roles and database security.
  • Create and maintain monitoring routines, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Support development teams with query analysis, data modeling and best practices.
  • Participate in defining the architecture for physical servers, virtual servers and cloud environments.
  • Provide input on capacity, storage, memory, CPU, network and scalability decisions.
  • Document environments, processes, incidents and technical procedures.
  • Respond to critical incidents, ensuring rapid identification and resolution of issues.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Solid experience as a Senior Oracle DBA.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database.
  • Experience administering critical production environments.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery using RMAN.
  • Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, RAC or other high availability solutions.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix.
  • Knowledge of server architecture, virtualization, storage and networking.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments such as OCI, AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Ability to analyze logs, metrics and database behavior.
  • Experience with technical documentation and operational best practices.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Knowledge of Exadata.
  • Experience automating routines using Shell Script, Python or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of hybrid environments: on-premises and cloud.
  • Experience with monitoring using Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, OEM or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of security, data protection (LGPD), encryption, auditing and database hardening.
  • Oracle, cloud or infrastructure certifications.
  • Knowledge of complementary databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MySQL.
  • English intermediate to advanced.
