About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with other members of Modaxo’s M&A practice to identify, evaluate, and execute transactions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and other transactions across all lines of business.
- Conduct all transaction-related financial modeling and valuation analysis.
- Coordinate internal teams to perform all confirmatory due diligence work.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the target company throughout the transaction close process.
- Work closely with third-party advisors and internal stakeholders across various business groups by being the “quarterback” on transactions.
- Evaluate all new transaction opportunities, prepare investment briefing memos, and present quality acquisition candidates to Modaxo’s investment committee to facilitate decision making processes.
- Proactively engage business owners to gauge interest in a prospective transaction.
- Actively manage pipeline of acquisition targets to ensure consistent deal flow and align on priorities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree – finance, accounting, business related preferred.
- Knowledge of different business models and core financial concepts.
- Multi-tasking and project management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
- Ability to organize, facilitate, and manage a pipeline of different projects simultaneously.
- Self motivated, ability to work with minimal direction.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to influence and lead individuals towards business goals.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Capable of end-to-end execution and management of complex, multi-faceted deals.
- 4+ years of working experience, including 2+ years of transferrable experience.
