About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with other members of Modaxo’s M&A practice to identify, evaluate, and execute transactions, strategic investments, joint ventures, and other transactions across all lines of business.
Conduct all transaction-related financial modeling and valuation analysis.
Coordinate internal teams to perform all confirmatory due diligence work.
Act as the primary point of contact for the target company throughout the transaction close process.
Work closely with third-party advisors and internal stakeholders across various business groups by being the “quarterback” on transactions.
Evaluate all new transaction opportunities, prepare investment briefing memos, and present quality acquisition candidates to Modaxo’s investment committee to facilitate decision making processes.
Proactively engage business owners to gauge interest in a prospective transaction.
Actively manage pipeline of acquisition targets to ensure consistent deal flow and align on priorities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Undergraduate degree – finance, accounting, business related preferred.
Knowledge of different business models and core financial concepts.
Multi-tasking and project management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
Ability to organize, facilitate, and manage a pipeline of different projects simultaneously.
Self motivated, ability to work with minimal direction.
Mathematical aptitude.
Ability to influence and lead individuals towards business goals.
Ability to work cross-functionally and in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Capable of end-to-end execution and management of complex, multi-faceted deals.
4+ years of working experience, including 2+ years of transferrable experience.
