About the role

  • Lead project assignments with little oversight and own delivery from initiation to closure
  • Plan and execute IT projects for multiple clients including infrastructure deployments, cloud migrations, and automation engagements
  • Coordinate and manage project scope, schedule, resources, and quality in a matrix-based organization
  • Manage client relationships and communications between clients and internal teams
  • Manage project KPIs including scope, effort, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Maintain and report on Risk, Actions, Issues, and Decisions (RAID Log) for projects
  • Provide regular status updates (project dashboard and status reports) and lead project reviews
  • Conduct post-project lessons learned meetings and incorporate improvements into tools and processes
  • Collaborate with fellow project managers on project staffing, task allocation, standardization, and process improvements
  • Provide feedback to technical team leads on the performance of the project team
  • Work collaboratively with globally distributed teams and be flexible to work EST and PST time zones as needed

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Project Management training and active certification required (e.g. Project Management Institute (PMI) certified, as a PMP)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of IT project management experience including managing digital transformation teams in an agile and waterfall environment
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience in IT systems development and management
  • Demonstrated experience leading IT infrastructure, DevOps, and software development projects in cloud (Azure, AWS), networking, network security, Citrix, ServiceNow
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working for an IT consulting firm managing external client projects
  • Working knowledge of MS Project, JIRA, and ServiceNow is preferred
  • Must be flexible to work in EST and PST time zones as needed
  • Strong customer service orientation and skilled at setting and managing customer expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to present and interact effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under pressure
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently on local and global projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
