About the role
- You independently manage the fresh and service counters in your HIT store
- You confidently balance demand-driven purchasing with efficient sales turnover
- You ensure product availability and that the performance figures in your area of responsibility are met
- Together with your team, you merchandise products attractively
- You advise and serve customers — acting as a role model for your team
- You are responsible for the service counters and ensure the optimal performance of the related refrigerated shelves and chests in self-service
- You use careful staff planning and your talent for motivating, developing and inspiring employees to secure smooth operations
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a specialist sales assistant in the fresh foods area (Fachverkäufer/in) or as a butcher
- Ideally a master craftsman’s certificate in the butcher’s trade (Meister) or further training as a meat or cheese sommelier
- Preferably initial leadership experience in service counters
- Very good knowledge of a wide range of sausage, meat, cheese and fish products
- A sociable, responsible team-player who goes the extra mile for the commercial success of their area and for the satisfaction of customers and colleagues
