About the role

  • You independently manage the fresh and service counters in your HIT store
  • You confidently balance demand-driven purchasing with rapid stock turnover
  • You ensure product availability and that the performance figures in your area of responsibility are on target
  • Together with your team, you present products attractively
  • You provide individual, personal, expert and friendly customer advice and service
  • You are responsible for the service counters and ensure the optimal performance of the related refrigerated display units and chests in the self-service area
  • Through careful staff scheduling and your ability to motivate, develop and inspire employees, you secure smooth operations

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as a specialist sales assistant in the fresh-food sector or as a butcher
  • Ideally a master butcher qualification or additional certification as a meat or cheese sommelier
  • Some initial leadership experience at service counters is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of cured meats, meat, cheese and fish products
  • An outgoing, responsible team-player who is highly committed to the commercial success of their area as well as to customer and team satisfaction
