About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide the team and interfacing departments on Controllership processes and deadlines, such as implementation of invoices and related tax, financial and accounting impacts;
  • Monitor and keep supervisors informed about the area's predefined deadlines for submitting records and other tax documentation, ensuring deadlines are met and avoiding negative impacts on ancillary tax obligations;
  • Perform tax calculations and assessments for settlement/payment;
  • Perform account reconciliations, identify and flag errors for the responsible area to correct when necessary;
  • Support the preparation and submission of ancillary tax obligations and filings;
  • Manage certificates and issue operating licenses;
  • Regularize CNPJs for headquarters and branches;
  • Analyze, record and control advances and expense reports related to tax payments and to service providers contracted by the Foundation;
  • Keep spreadsheets and management/control systems updated;
  • Provide support for internal and external audits;
  • Provide requested information to various departments by generating and issuing management and reconciliation reports.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Postgraduate degree in Controllership, Finance, Taxation or related fields preferred.
  • Active CRC (Regional Accounting Council registration) preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting, tax and/or financial routines.
  • Advanced knowledge of fiscal and tax legislation.
  • Proficiency in the process of calculating and preparing federal ancillary tax obligations, such as EFD-Reinf, EFD-Contribuições, DCTFWeb, DIRF, DMED, DeRE.
  • Proficiency in the process of calculating and preparing ancillary tax obligations for the Federal District.
  • Advanced knowledge of office software suites (emphasis on spreadsheet/calculation tools).
  • Experience with ERP TOTVS Protheus, fiscal module, especially the tax configurator, is desirable.
  • Experience in the field.
