About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set up and maintain physical servers and switches in data center environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
- Manage and optimize infrastructure across Linux-based environments.
- Automate configuration, provisioning, and deployments with Ansible and Proxmox.
- Work with Docker (and automated container orchestration) to build secure and scalable environments.
- Ensure system reliability, observability, and monitoring using industry standardized tools.
- Collaborate closely with the lead architect and developers to enable efficient and consistent delivery.
- Improve infrastructure security and compliance practices.
- Contribute to architectural decisions regarding scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance.
- Drive continuous improvement by researching and adopting modern DevOps tools and methodologies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
- Proficiency with Docker and containerization concepts.
- Experience with automation/configuration management (Ansible or similar).
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and scalability principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Nice to Have
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes or similar).
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira.
- Knowledge of database operations and optimization.
- Contributions to open-source projects or infrastructure communities.
