About the role
- Assist in preparing client deliverables for Planning and Environmental Compliance documents
- Document editorial review including spelling, punctuation, grammar, voice, and clarity in client deliverables
- Document formatting
- Edit basic to highly complex technical documents, both draft and final versions
- Review documents for spelling, typographical, and grammatical errors
- Adhere to established style guides
- Produce high-quality work within deadlines
- Prioritize work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with authors to address copyright concerns and inconsistencies
- Provide feedback to improve clarity and enhance understanding
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Technical Writing, Technical Communication, Communications, Science or Engineering
- 3+ years of technical editing experience in either the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) or Planning Industries
- Familiarity with engineering industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Interacts well with other staff
