About the role

  • Review, analyze, and develop technical documentation to support engineering change proposals and sustainment objectives
  • Conduct detailed technical analyses and participate in design and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) reviews
  • Witness hardware integration onto ACV platforms and observe test execution
  • Review test plans and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Develop informational briefs and present results of ACV modification tasks to government stakeholders in support of program schedules.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of professional experience in mechanical or systems engineering, preferably supporting Department of Defense acquisition or sustainment programs
  • Engineering design reviews and technical analysis
  • Reviewing and commenting on technical documentation (requirements, CAD files, test plans/reports, engineering change documents)
  • Supporting integration and testing of mechanical systems
  • Identifying and mitigating technical risks
  • Familiarity with sustainment processes, configuration management, structured technical reviews, and life cycle support is essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
  • Active Secret clearance required to participate in classified program activities and maintain compliance with federal security protocols
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure.
  • Certifications in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent systems engineering certification
  • Familiarity with DoD 8570 baseline certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP) for IT-related systems
  • Experience working with tactical and combat vehicles in military or defense environments
  • Strong presentation skills for developing and delivering technical briefs to government stakeholders.
