About the role
- Analyze real-world data related to Mission Defense systems
- Collect, interpret, and manage complex datasets
- Develop and refine algorithms to optimize data utilization
- Continuously update existing algorithms based on new insights
- Assist in planning and scheduling verification analysis tools
- Coordinate and maintain analysis and test tracking tools
- Ensure proper backup and archiving of test products and datasets
- Work independently under general direction with strong self-motivation
Requirements
- Technical Bachelor's (5+ years) or Technical Master's (3+ years) in Math, Physics, Engineering, Data Analysis, or related field
- Theoretical or practical knowledge of ballistic/non-ballistic missile defense concepts
- Theoretical or practical knowledge of Battle Management and Command and Control (BM/C2) systems
- Theoretical or practical knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) and related communication systems
- Strong foundation in mathematics and physics, including probability and statistics
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB for complex data analysis
- Experience in automating data management processes and tools
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and scripting (e.g., Bash)
- Knowledge of one or more MDS elements (e.g., C2BMC, AN/TPY-2, LRDR, BOA, SBIRS, GMD, PATRIOT)
- Experience with database usage and maintenance
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance
