About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate Regional Dealer Placement activities, including dealer agreement packages for new points, buy/sells, renewals, relocations, and terminations
  • Oversee regional dealer business management, working capital, profitability, and financial performance
  • Manage facility, signage, flooring, and trademark compliance issues
  • Develop and present new dealer and buy/sell proposals to the Franchise Committee
  • Review underperforming and newly appointed dealer operations with Dealer Principals and Management
  • Develop and execute dealer launch or improvement plans
  • Implement plans and processes to improve dealer profitability and performance
  • Communicate franchise activity updates and progress to Regional Management
  • Coordinate new dealer launches with District Managers and regional teams
  • Evaluate buy/sell opportunities and provide recommendations
  • Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
  • Familiarize yourself with Mitsubishi’s 2030 network strategy and footprint goals
  • Build relationships with Regional Management and District teams
  • Identify priority open point markets and assess dealer performance and compliance
  • Assess potential new dealer candidates and begin prospecting
  • Launch new dealers in priority strategic markets
  • Improve performance and profitability of underperforming and newly appointed dealers
  • Drive dealer agreement renewals and buy/sell transitions
  • Demonstrate measurable impact on dealer network representation, activation, and overall health

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of wholesale/retail automotive experience, including experience as a District Sales Manager
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dealer financial statements, dealership operations, and capital planning
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and motivate others
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple high-impact initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Extensive travel required
  • Must maintain a valid unconditional driver's license and MMNA-approved driving record
  • Proven success in Dealer Development with a major OEM preferred as a profile differentiator
  • Prior experience in dealer placement, franchise compliance, and buy/sell negotiations preferred as a profile differentiator
  • Strong understanding of market representation strategies and retail network expansion in growth markets
  • Experience improving dealership profitability and launching new stores
