About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the internal and external technical point of contact for assigned units
  • Define and forecast outage scopes and track modification implementation status
  • Maintain technical risks with probability and impact assessments
  • Support configuration planning and management
  • Provide technical support to sales and commercial operations
  • Define technical work scopes for planned and emergent outages
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support during outage execution
  • Maintain modification applicability states in Windchill and associated configuration tools
  • Coordinate GTSE, RMC, TOMONI, and lead center support
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and relevant onsite actions
  • Review parts pedigree and manufacturing/repair NCRs
  • Lead cross-functional investigations and resolution of critical incidents
  • Develop and implement process improvements based on root cause findings
  • Maintain fleet data and experience, including inspection reports, fleet risk, and ORAP
  • Review field service reports, GTSE reports, outage close-out, and lessons learned
  • Develop and issue technical solutions, including Service Products, GTBs, and AGTMIs
  • Prepare presentation materials for user conferences and customer meetings
  • Work with the Program Service Manager and Project Management Office as part of the core team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferable; relevant experience may be considered as an alternative
  • At least 8 years of experience in rotating equipment design/service or combined cycle power plant operations and maintenance
  • 5+ years of complex root cause analysis experience, including 8D, Fishbone, and Fault Tree methods
  • Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Ability to travel 10–20% by land and/or air
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Familiarity with GT, ST, GEN, AUX, BOP, Controls, Tuning, and Operation product-line aspects
