Consulting Bus Developer
Mitsubishi Heavy IndustriesBusiness Developer supporting technical sales in the Electrics and Automation segment for Primetals Technologies. Collaborating with sales teams to drive customer engagement and volume targets.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The position has functional responsibility for technical sales support activities in the Electrics and Automation Rolling & Processing sub-segment.
- Support the achievement of volume targets set for the Electrics and Automation segment, and company strategy.
- Main responsibilities include technical sales activities including proposal preparation and bid proposal management, collaborating closely with the electrical and mechanical sales groups for rolling & processing to support regional and global project opportunities and strategies as required.
- Marketing and sales support activities for Drives, Motors and Automation systems related to metals industry.
- Work closely with electrical, automation and mechanical sales team to market E&A solutions and address opportunities in the market.
- Support account managers in terms of customer visits, E&A solutions and concepts preparation, customer presentations, proposal and bid documents preparation and contract negotiations.
- Lead the proposal preparation efforts internally to ensure timely and accurate response to customer’s inquiries. This includes; electrical concept design, technical specifications preparation, equipment layout and selection, proposal strategies with internal groups and suppliers e.g. operations, procurement, etc.
- Maintain involvement with key customers to understand their needs and also develop new customers by building trust and rapport together with the sales team.
- Support the E&A segment in portfolio idea generation by providing input from the market and trend information.
- Work closely with the service organization to ensure that all sales opportunities arising out of the field activities are understood; addressed and considered in shaping the sales strategies / portfolio enhancements.
- Represent the company and network with client leadership at industry associations, professional or community organizations to enhance business image and success.
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS of Electrical or Electronics or Controls Engineering or equivalent in related discipline or advanced degree.
- 5+ years of combined experience in Engineering, Technical Project Management, direct exposure to marketing and sales activities related to Electrical & Automation systems.
- Organizational, negotiation, communication and presentation skills required.
- USA and International travel. Domestic travel estimated at 25%, International <5%.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization and facilitate the implementation of corrective action and best-practice sharing.
