About the role

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve gas turbine service methods.
  • Support Engineering team members for root cause investigations, including analysis of fracture surfaces, thermal system modeling, and failure investigations.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to develop and author work procedures for the manufacturing/repair process.
  • Develop and apply corrective actions addressing nonconformances or root causes.
  • Perform data analysis for trending of operation, component life extension analysis and FMEA, component degradation evaluation, etc.
  • Report creation, clean up, and publishing Product Data Management Systems.
  • Assist and guide project management of tasking and review and report out to leadership.
  • Support team members in evaluation of vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a college undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering) at a four-year college or university.
  • Strong analytical skills related to engineering problem solving.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and electronic mail.
  • Experience with coding tools such as Python, MatLab, and C++ is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
