About the role
- Assist in the design and structural analysis of steel structures and concrete foundations.
- Prepare calculations, drawings, and reports under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Collect, review, interpret, and integrate design requirements from customers, suppliers, and the parent company.
- Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support the overall project proposal and bid strategy.
- Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations.
- Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical requirements, and commercial requirements.
- Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment.
- Work with suppliers to develop budgets and pricing estimates.
- Ensure arrangement and foundation interface information meets requirements.
- Interface with internal and external teams to ensure that design interface information for structural commodities is accurate and properly accounted for.
- Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformances and improve quality.
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned to meet evolving project and organizational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering is required.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318 are desired.
- Experience with Earthquake Engineering concepts and tools such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Travel 5%.
