About the role

  • Plan, conduct and report supplier audits to ensure compliance with MHI RJ quality and engineering procedures.
  • Evaluate suppliers' special processes (e.g., machining, heat treatment, coatings, surface treatments, NDT, welding) to ensure compliance with MHI RJ quality procedures.
  • Identify and address non-conformities, working with suppliers to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (quality, engineering, supply chain) to support supplier development activities.
  • Provide guidance to suppliers regarding compliance with MHI RJ quality and engineering procedures.
  • Evaluate compliance data provided by suppliers.
  • When required/authorized, travel to supplier sites to perform audits.
  • Develop, review and improve quality procedures, work instructions and audit processes to maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Interpret and apply regulatory requirements (FAA/TCCA/EASA).
  • Perform other duties to support operational needs.

Requirements

  • You hold a relevant degree.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in quality auditing within the aerospace or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience auditing to AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards is required.
  • Lead auditor certification is a strong asset.
  • Experience assessing special processes (e.g., machining, heat treatment, coatings, surface treatments, NDT, welding).
  • Proven expertise in developing, writing and improving quality procedures, work instructions and audit documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and departments.
  • Strong problem-identification and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office and SAP).
  • Fluency in English and French (reading, writing and speaking).
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada regulations.
  • Quality inspection experience is an asset.
