About the role

  • Act as the subject matter expert and lead the project management process on commercial domestic water heating products
  • Provide technical and application support for commercial water heating products through the development of technical materials, application training, competitive analysis, and design best practices for the BU sales team and external customers
  • Provide Tier 2 support for BU sales team, METUS distribution, and the HVAC specification community on how to resolve complex application and technical design challenges
  • Developing engineering and application white papers to address issues and concerns specific to domestic hot water products in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States
  • Work alongside another Mechanical Engineer to provide mechanical engineering and design support on other METUS HVAC products to the BU as needed
  • Collaborate with other BU Mechanical Engineers and METUS Applications Team to develop technical materials to solve customer concerns
  • Act as a liaison between BU Sales team and METUS Applications and Product Development teams to provide product ideas, evaluate technical documentation, and present application ideas for evaluation
  • Collaborates with BU Management to define annual requirements to support the BU
  • Willing to travel up to 30% for various Company meetings and training both domestically and possibly internationally

Requirements

  • B.S degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical degree from ABET accredited engineering program
  • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar discipline, preferred
  • 10+ years of HVAC or plumbing mechanical engineering or application engineering experience
  • Experience with engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace 3D Plus, is preferred
  • Understanding of HVACR and psychometrics concepts, in addition to plumbing, is ideal
  • P.E license and / or LEED A.P accredited professional preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of managing technical and complex products from an application or engineering standpoint
  • Experience in project management preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD, energy modeling software and Revit experience preferred
  • Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation / training skills
