About the role
- Provide all design engineering drawings and documents related to customer orders
- Support manufacturing efforts and provide customer support on all products
- Oversee preparation of technical documents for order placements, manufacturing/assembly operations
- Prepare design direction and clarification to other Engineering personnel
- Seek and resolve all customer technical questions as required
- Write test scripts for testing uninterruptible supply systems and batteries in power lab
- Develop product BOMs and design drawings to support customer technical requirements
- Coordinate design with production, purchasing, quality personnel
- Act as project leader for all design, test, and prototype programs
- Travel to customers site and/or trade shows to provide product support as required
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a design engineering capacity
- Intermediate knowledge of power electronics and power and energy systems
- Experience with performing measurement, testing, and troubleshooting of high-power equipment
- Experience with reading, understanding and creating technical drawings
- Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office products, CAD and engineering analysis software.
