About the role
- Manage project engineering activities to meet project schedules and contract deliverables.
- Manage design engineering activities to meet customer technical commitments.
- Collaborate with MELCO to ensure compliance with contract technical specifications.
- Manage product development projects to realize project objectives, budget, and schedule.
- Prepare engineering resource plans and coordinate resources with Program Managers.
- Collaborate with TSD Purchasing for localization of materials, components, and systems.
- Manage the drafting and designer section.
- Work with Field Service Manager to address field failures.
- Work with Operations Department to address engineering-related issues.
- Ensure MEPPI Quality Assurance has support for training development and delivery.
- Create required Engineering processes and procedures.
- Analyze product designs and recommend price reduction initiatives.
- Support engineering efforts of the sales function and provide resources for bids.
- Provide engineering support for spare parts and Condition Based Monitoring Programs.
- Lead and direct staff according to Company policies and procedures.
- Develop employees through training, cross-training, and continuing education opportunities.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide input for salary decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience
- 3 years of management experience
- Advanced verbal and written communications skills
- Advanced skills in developing team approaches for working with sales and project personnel
- Advanced interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Developed computer skills with emphasis on MS Office and engineering software
