About the role

  • Drive Product Innovation by leading the development of high- and medium-voltage switchgear products that meet quality, performance, and competitiveness goals.
  • Set Technical Direction and Standards through hands-on leadership, mentorship, and governance of engineering design, analysis, and testing practices.
  • Bridge Global Engineering Efforts by serving as the primary technical liaison between MEPPI's Switchgear Division and Mitsubishi Electric Company of Japan.
  • Advance Core Technologies by leading feasibility studies that support next-generation product development initiatives.
  • Own Technical Decision-Making by leading design and technical reviews, approving work packages, and directing product testing and analytical validation.
  • Resolve Manufacturing and Quality Challenges through cross-functional technical leadership and structured problem-solving.
  • Strengthen Customer Relationships by engaging directly with customers to resolve technical issues and support long-term partnerships.
  • Influence Industry Standards by monitoring regulatory developments and representing the company in professional and standards organizations.
  • Shape Engineering Knowledge through the development and maintenance of design manuals and technical documentation.
  • Enable Organizational Success by supporting the VP/General Manager, Engineering Department Manager, and Product Development Section Manager.
  • Champion the Company's Image and Values by consistently presenting a professional, solutions-oriented presence with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or technical field with a minimum of 15 years of experience with manufacturing, and servicing electrical products, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of circuit breaker technology and design.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal relations, cross-cultural understanding, and verbal/written communications.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and ERP/MRP systems.
