About the role
- Support analysis of renewable energy resources (solar, wind, energy storage) connecting to the transmission grid
- Assist with steady-state studies, including base case and contingency analyses
- Support dynamic stability simulations such as transient and voltage stability studies
- Gain hands-on experience with industry tools including Siemens PSSE and PowerGEM TARA
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelors or masters degree program in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power Systems
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Interest in the power and energy industry, including renewables and transmission systems
- Prior internship or co-op experience
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
