About the role

  • Oversee and direct engineering support activities for assigned products within SCD, providing technical guidance and mentorship to staff.
  • Lead planning and execution of assigned projects and initiatives to enhance service capabilities.
  • Monitor field incidents, set priorities, and manage issue escalation within SCD and product divisions as needed.
  • Oversee the review of technical support documentation for new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with equipment division Engineering and QA teams to resolve technical issues and manage open items to completion.
  • Review incident history to identify systemic issues and work with internal teams to implement improvements.
  • Review and disseminate engineering change notices (ECNs) to technical support staff as required.
  • Assist in creating and refining processes related to product support activities.
  • Manage staff performance, provide coaching and training, conduct performance reviews, and support career growth in alignment with company policies.
  • Represent SCD positively through effective communication and collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with electrical or power quality-related products
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience, or equivalent education and experience
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical power and control systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and engineering software
