About the role
- Oversee and direct engineering support activities for assigned products within SCD, providing technical guidance and mentorship to staff.
- Lead planning and execution of assigned projects and initiatives to enhance service capabilities.
- Monitor field incidents, set priorities, and manage issue escalation within SCD and product divisions as needed.
- Oversee the review of technical support documentation for new product introductions.
- Collaborate with equipment division Engineering and QA teams to resolve technical issues and manage open items to completion.
- Review incident history to identify systemic issues and work with internal teams to implement improvements.
- Review and disseminate engineering change notices (ECNs) to technical support staff as required.
- Assist in creating and refining processes related to product support activities.
- Manage staff performance, provide coaching and training, conduct performance reviews, and support career growth in alignment with company policies.
- Represent SCD positively through effective communication and collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with electrical or power quality-related products
- At least 3 years of managerial experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Advanced knowledge of electrical power and control systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and engineering software
