About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement AI-enabled features and simple RAG/agent workflows, with senior guidance on complex design
Design, build, test, and deploy small services within the team, and maintain their CI/CD pipelines
Participate in on-call for the components you own; diagnose and fix issues
Contribute to design reviews and propose team process improvements
Mentor AI Engineer I teammates
Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to deliver scoped solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

3-5 years of software engineering experience, including some hands-on work with LLM or AI-enabled features
Working Python (async patterns), FastAPI, Pydantic v2, and pytest
Comfortable building and deploying services on AWS (Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and related services)
Production experience consuming LLMs (Claude via Amazon Bedrock or the Anthropic API) and building basic RAG/agent features
Working experience with a production data layer (Redis, DynamoDB, Postgres/Aurora) via async SQLAlchemy
Identity and app-security fundamentals (JWT/OAuth, secrets management)
Containerized delivery (Docker/ECS) through CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
Comfort in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with evolving requirements
