About the role
- Sell windows, doors, and movable walls to architects, general contractors, designers, and developers.
- Strategically generate sales leads and increase product sales within assigned territory (Pacific Northwest and surrounding areas).
- Lead architectural design efforts, guide product selection, and ensure project specifications align with company offerings.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients; serve as technical consultant and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Travel frequently to meet clients, attend trade shows (AIA, CSI), and present seminars on products.
- Maintain a database of customers and prospects and use it to seek new clientele.
- Train new employees on company products and teach continuing education classes as an experienced sales representative.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
- A minimum of two years in a sales or sales support role.
- Architectural or construction industries experience recommended.
- Sales experience recommended.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License.
- Travel Requirements: frequent travel, more than 50% with overnight travel; some international travel.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with architects, general contractors, designers, and developers.
- Experience with customer/prospect databases (CRM) and client follow-up.
- May be expected to train new employees and teach continuing education classes.
