About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers to meet productivity targets
Provide engineering guidance and expertise to a team composed of Professional Engineers and Engineering Managers
Work cross-functionally and collaborate with other verticals within the company
Develop and execute high level goals as required
Mentor other professional engineers and engineering managers to promote their professional growth
Lead projects while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
Review customer specified parameters for building components
Discuss design modifications and reviews appropriate design methodologies with customers
Resolve customer issues and complaints
Maintain harmony among workers and resolves grievances
Assign customers to engineers and manage workload distribution among engineering team(s) and sealing engineers
Answer technical questions from customers and team members
Support development of procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained
Review work done by MiTek Engineers In Training (EIT) for accuracy and seals their work
Supports innovation and aligns goals with company objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelors Engineering required
Masters Civil Engineering preferred
6+ Years of related experience required
2+ Years of management experience required
Able to perform mathematical skills such as calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Able to read and understand prints and schematics
Able to use Microsoft Office Applications
Licensed Professional Engineer - Any State Board Upon Hire required
