About the role

  • Developing and altering hardware and software components for an advanced synthetic test and training environments within JSE at the JITTC-N
  • Support WSCE server and software development, software integration, customer training and demonstrations
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented software design
  • Provide SME support to the customer team and their vendors during the development, deployment, implementation, test, fielding, and acceptance of software to support JSE systems
  • Implement industry standard, theoretical, and/or rigorous analysis methodologies to verify and validate software designs and analysis methods
  • Remain current on developing JSE and WSCE software technologies and available packages/patches
  • Evaluate software performance and make recommendations and test reports when required
  • Collaborate with government personnel to prioritize features and deliverables to meet changing customer needs
  • Evaluate and review C++ language code, programming using C++, Python, Java, MATLAB, etc.
  • Develops parallel processes, threading, process communication
  • Collaborates with team members to design future enhancements with specific focus on the development, test and integration of data crawlers for non-DIS protocols
  • Familiarity with time-series analysis a plus.

Requirements

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
  • Three (3) years of practical experience in software engineering preferably associated with modeling and simulation within the training and training systems domains
  • Demonstrated experience with C++, Linux RHEL, Java, MATLAB and other object-oriented software design and development
  • Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance
  • Able to successfully manage competing tasks and priorities
  • Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be a US citizen.
