About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts
- Perform analyses and prepare reports
- Prepare contract-work budgets and financial analyses, including funding profiles, sales outlooks, and variance analysis
- Prepare program plans to capture requirements in plans and forecasts
- Perform financial risk assessments and identify or mitigate cost risks
- Maintain expenditure records, prepare expenditure projections, and submit timely requests for additional government funding
- Incorporate contractual changes into documents and control systems while maintaining realistic cost and schedule baselines
- Develop annual program budgets with Program Management
- Implement financial policies and manage cost/schedule baseline data analysis
- Support customer reporting requirements
- Develop estimates-to-completion, estimates-at-completion, and burn-rate analyses
- Analyze contract profitability and prepare profit models; track project funding
- Plan, track, and report projects across Cost Plus, T&M, and FFP contract types
- Prepare monthly financial progress reports
- Work independently and contribute to an integrated team through statistical reporting, analysis, and estimates
- Present written and verbal financial analyses to management
- Interface with program managers, senior management, contract employees, finance, accounts receivable, procurement, subcontract management, and prime-contract customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; 1 year relevant experience with a master’s degree in a related field; or high school diploma/equivalent and 7 years relevant experience
- Project control experience with strong QA/QC skills
- Experience providing written and verbal financial-analysis reports to management
- Effective communication and teamwork with program managers, proposal writers, and contract/pricing administrators
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
- Analytical ability and excellent presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- Bonus: 3+ years of project control experience
- Bonus: Experience supporting a DoD or military customer and/or contract
- Bonus: Experience forecasting program financial data and preparing profit models
- Bonus: Experience with CostPoint, Cognos, and OneStream
- Bonus: Knowledge of SOFA, Tax Equalization, PLC Coding, and Travel AAS Contract experience
- Bonus: Advanced Excel skills
