About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain development systems, including security patches, kernel updates, and OS updates
- Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware failures and restore system capability
- Provide administrator support, including user creation/deletion, security group management, storage media permissions, and shared resource configuration
- Manage data transfers between networks as needed
- Purchase and configure PCs for new personnel
- Purchase and maintain printer toner inventory and replace cartridges
- Maintain system documentation and inventory database
- Perform other infrastructure maintenance tasks as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 0–10+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree in a related field and 0–8+ years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/equivalent and 4–14+ years of relevant experience
- Current CompTIA Security+ CE certification preferred at hire or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows OS, and Windows Server OS
- Basic understanding of the OSI networking model
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb rung ladders and work in confined areas
- Active TS/SCI security clearance and ability to pass enhanced security checks
- Preferred: experience configuring and managing VPN connections to remote sites
- Preferred: additional IT/technical certifications
- Preferred: experience working in classified environments
- Preferred: experience with NIPR, SIPR, and other DoD networks
- Preferred: experience with databases, including working knowledge of SQL and relational data stores
- Preferred: experience with Linux OS
- Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for the Systems Analyst discipline
