About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Distributed Training Operations Center (DTOC) in delivering secure and reliable mission networks for the Air National Guard
  • Implement and manage cybersecurity strategies, compliance frameworks, and security measures protecting critical systems
  • Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information across multiple networks
  • Design and implement information assurance and security engineering systems covering business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, insider threat detection and mitigation, and physical security analysis
  • Plan, manage, and execute DTOC Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements
  • Manage lifecycle cybersecurity risk for Air Force information systems
  • Assess DTOC IT assets for cybersecurity risk and mitigate residual risk through POA&Ms
  • Ensure alignment with DODI 8510.01 and RMF security authorization packages
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Develop, review, and complete interconnectivity requirement documents
  • Perform primary ISSO duties for non-SAP mission networks
  • Perform ISSO duties for SAP networks when required by the Government
  • Manage the Common Configuration Control Board process
  • Manage systematic RMF control revalidation and continuous monitoring
  • Author and edit cybersecurity documents such as ISA, SLA, and CIE

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 years relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; 0 years experience with a master’s degree in a related field; or high school diploma/equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
  • Working experience in IT roles such as System Administrator, Network Administrator, ISSO, or related
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools
  • Must hold a DoD 8570/8140-compliant Information Assurance certification at the IAT II or IAM II level, such as Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent
  • Must have a current or active Secret Clearance
  • IT/cybersecurity-related degree preferred
  • Current Top Secret Clearance preferred
  • May require working in office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environments
  • Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
