Operations

• Analyzes and provides recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises.
• Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.
• Analyzes the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to maintain the capabilities of a force.
• Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives.
• Applies emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWEs), Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATDs), or Force XXI activities, to system design and development.
• Assesses the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine.
• Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.
• Communicate with leadership on any technical or operational issues and new requirements.
• Work with Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) local and remote operators and engineers, TTGP training teams, and teams at the Western ranges to coordinate and plan systems and personnel support for events.
• Adjust daily working hours occasionally to match times zones around the world where events are occurring.
• Occasional travel is required in support of event planning conferences.
• Lead event operations for compliance within NCTE Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Recommend changes to SOPs as needed and help to develop new SOPs as fleet training requirements expand.
• Use Confluence and JIRA tools on the NCTE website to share event schedules and documents.
• Identify, document, report, and track issues, while keeping appropriate NCTE personnel, NSWC- Corona, TTGP leadership, and other stakeholders informed of status.
