About the role
- Shape the technical roadmap for RF systems supporting C3 operations, including frequency planning, waveform development, and interoperability.
- Interpret and influence spectrum policies (FCC, NTIA, ITU) to ensure compliance and operational flexibility.
- Manage spectrum allocation, licensing, and usage across projects and platforms, optimizing performance and minimizing interference.
- Provide engineering oversight for RF system design, integration, and testing, especially in contested or congested environments.
- Work with policy makers, program managers, and system architects to align RF engineering with strategic goals.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., 5G, SDR, mmWave, SATCOM) for integration into future C3 architectures.
Requirements
- 7 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field
- 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field
- 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field
- Deep understanding of RF propagation, modulation techniques, and spectrum allocation frameworks.
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies and standards (FCC, NTIA, ITU).
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with military or aerospace RF systems.
- Knowledge of cognitive radio, dynamic spectrum access, or electronic warfare.
