About the role
- Work within DoD and Intelligence communities to develop training curriculums and documentation for cutting edge new systems for the Fleet
- Examine system architecture and engineering processes, and interface with engineering leads to develop training curriculums
- Develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
- Research and integrate new and innovative training methods, materials, and techniques
- Participate in program level meetings
- Support NIWC PAC team onsite in Point Loma, San Diego, CA
- May perform work in industrial or shipboard environments with related physical tasks
Requirements
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience (technical degree preferred)
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Familiarity with training development software
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and documentation practices
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
- Familiarity with industry-standard documentation tools
- Navy “A” or “C” School Instructor experience (preferred)
- Naval Education and Training (NAVEDTRA) curriculum development experience in accordance with 137A and 138 standards (preferred)
- Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS) designation (preferred)
- National Security Agency (NSA) or Naval Intelligence (NAVINTEL) curriculum development experience (preferred)
- Integration of innovative learning technologies into Navy programs, such as Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) or simulation-based training (preferred)
- Navy fleet technical or intelligence background (preferred)
- Familiarity with Navy Training System Plans (NTSP) (preferred)
- May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment; capable of climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
