About the role

  • Support the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) program, ensuring operational effectiveness, security, and maintenance of NETTN client and server infrastructure
  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and coordinate with network administrators
  • Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage space
  • Interact with users and evaluate vendor products; recommend hardware and software purchases and coordinate installation
  • Provide backup and recovery solutions and monitor policies and standards for computing resource allocation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 – 10+ years relevant experience
  • Master’s degree in a related field and 1 – 8+ years relevant experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 7 – 14+ years relevant experience
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
  • Current or Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be maintained)
  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration (preferably RHEL 7/8)
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments (2016/2019)
  • Experience applying DoD STIGs and maintaining cybersecurity compliance
  • Proficiency in patching and system updates
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, OS, and network layers
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Required Travel: 0 - 10%
  • Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for Systems Analyst discipline
