About the role
- Assist in the installation of LMON equipment at host sites throughout the United States and selected international locations according to pre-determined configurations and plans
- Interpret installation design plans (CAD drawings) and implement installations, making local modifications as directed by the Team Leader
- Ensure LMON installations are completed in a timely, consistent, high quality, and professional manner
- Work hands-on alongside the installation team leader to complete all tasking on time
- Terminate fiber optic, Ethernet, and RF cables as a primary role
- Execute full LMON system installations including racks, network, radio, antenna, computers, power, and cable fabrication
- Support System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) and quality control
- Assist with shipping retrograde equipment and tools to logistics sites
- Update installation design plans with as-built documentation
- Provide support for US Navy NCTE installations when needed
Requirements
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
- 3+ years of IT system installation experience, including network components
- Experience working in classified military or government environments
- Ability to interpret engineering-level installation drawings
- Familiarity with electrical and HVAC systems supporting IT infrastructure
- Skilled in terminating fiber optic, Cat6 Ethernet, and RF cables
- Basic knowledge of Tempest regulations and SECNAV INST M5510.36
- Comfortable lifting 30 lbs, working on ladders/manlifts, and in confined spaces
- Willing to travel 25–50% annually
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, driven, and adaptable
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- U.S. citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance
- Preferred: Experience with Protected Distribution System installation
- Preferred: Familiarity with USAF and USN cryptographic devices
- Preferred: Advanced knowledge of IT network installations
