About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA Engineers, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide technical direction, career guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
Collaborate with Program and Project Management to translate requirements into test strategies and automation plans.
Define, track, and communicate key quality metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright (or similar tools such as Selenium/Cypress).
Own and evolve the automated regression suite for production critical environments.
Develop and execute automated test plans for new features and regression cycles.
Troubleshoot issues across the full development lifecycle and contribute hands on to automation efforts.
Improve test architecture and influence long term QA strategy.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Proven experience leading QA teams, including task assignment, mentorship, and performance management.
5+ years of experience with Playwright or equivalent automation frameworks.
Strong background in CI/CD testing strategies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and code quality best practices.
Strong foundation in QA fundamentals: test planning, test case design, defect management.
Experience testing distributed systems and understanding system architecture.
Knowledge of object oriented design, data structures, and design patterns for scalable automation.
Highly organized, detail oriented, and self motivated.
Must have an active Secret Security clearance.
