About the role
- Plan, execute, and analyze complex test and evaluation activities for advanced defense and technology solutions
- Apply engineering principles to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with program requirements
- Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
- Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
- Perform detailed mathematical calculations and preliminary analyses of data (trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency)
- Use personal computer for analyses and development of documentation/reports
- Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
- Support military or government customers in a dynamic operational environment
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 2 years of relevant professional/exempt experience
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen
- Prior Navy nuclear propulsion experience, Department of Energy, or commercial nuclear power experience
- Required Travel: 0 - 10%
- Level of Experience: Mid
- Ability to obtain security clearance
- Bonus: Prior nuclear operations or work control experience
- Bonus: Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Bonus: Four (4) years of related manufacturing, shipbuilding, or trades experience
- Physical Requirements: Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances; lifting and moving of materials not to exceed one-man lift guidelines
