About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery
Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space

Requirements

What you’ll need

10 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience
Candidate must have a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance
Candidate must have RedHat operating systems experience
Candidate must have DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) experience
Candidate must have strong technical troubleshooting skills
Candidate must have the ability to read and digest technical information
Candidate must have strong attention to detail
Candidate must have strong customer focus, the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities
Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
