About the role
- Manage all disciplines of security to include personnel and physical security, document control, visitor control, security education and training, and other duties as directed
- Administer the overall HII security program for Panama City Beach, FL and provide guidance and support to HII field sites
- Participate and contribute to HII’s Security Education and Training program
- Conduct security briefings for personnel in alignment with contractual obligations, to include onboarding and terminating personnel
- Generate DD254s as required
- Administer and coordinate DOD and other Industrial Security Programs and activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures
- Develop and administer security policies and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment and enforce procedures for classification, downgrading, upgrading, and safeguarding classified information
- Implement and enforce 32-CFR Part 117 and SEAD 3 Reporting Requirements
- Review and implement federal security regulations that apply to company operations
- Obtain rulings, approvals, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance from government agencies
- Prepare manuals outlining regulations such as SOPs, SPPs, ITPs, EAPs and OPSEC
- Establish procedures for record keeping, handling, storing, and for granting personnel and visitor access to restricted records and materials
- Prepare and conduct security education classes and security audits
- Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action
- Perform status checks on investigations, determine upcoming reinvestigation dates, and relay that information to employees
- Conduct semi-annual security self-inspections, physical security surveys, and threat/vulnerability assessments (including physical security inspections of secure rooms and COMSEC)
- Ensure accuracy of the security clearance database and document control using the Access Commander database
- Interface with government customers on security related issues
- Ensure individuals stay within scope for current investigations and perform necessary actions for initial and reinvestigation and track accordingly
- Ensure that classified information entrusted to the company is properly safeguarded as outlined in federal controlling instructions
- Prepare, manage and interface with the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) during audits
- Use/apply US Government online programs such as NBIS, eAPP (Electronic Application), DISS and NISS
Requirements
- 6 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in related field; 4 years relevant experience with a Masters in related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent
- 10 years relevant experience as a security professional supporting the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community programs
- Thorough knowledge of 32-CFR, Part 117, ICDs and other DoD compliance requirements
- The DCSA FSO Certification for possessing facilities is required
- Full knowledge and understanding of industry practices
- Must be able to independently demonstrate the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks
- Candidate must work well in a team environment and possess excellent speaking, written, organizational, customer service, and communication skills
- Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks and work well under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Candidate must be able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments concurrently
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, NBIS, DISS and NISS
- Must possess a current Secret clearance as well as have an ability to meet Top Secret eligibility requirements if required
- Must be able to generate DD254’s
