Provide software system testing support, verification of code and certification that all deliverables meet customer requirements and are free of software defects and/or bugs across the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
Work closely with software engineers and other project team members to successfully test and assess ongoing development within demanding schedules
produce test cases and other Postal project documentation.
Execute test plans and related test case scenarios based on documented, and sometimes undocumented, system requirements and/or business rules identifying and documenting defects and anomalies. This may include positive and negative test cases, regression test case procedures and simple to complex business functionality.
Be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle
demonstrate abilities to learn both the business processes as well as new and existing technologies.
Work in an Agile team environment, and must be able to produce with minimal supervision.

Requirements

0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field (engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field of study)
hands-on software testing experience
at least two years of professional service, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.
Candidate must have some experience using a software defect management tool to log and track defects
providing clear and concise steps to reproduce any issues using tools such as HP’s Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Agile User Story management tools, such as, VersionOne.
Analytic, design, troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills.
Ability to analyze complex and large amounts of data.
A thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
an ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
