About the role
- Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
- Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data
- Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
- Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
- May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Navy nuclear propulsion experience, Department of Energy or commercial nuclear power experience
- Engineering Technician 3 - Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience
- Engineering Technician 4 - Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience
- Four (4) years of related manufacturing, shipbuilding, or trades experience (bonus)
