About the role
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk assessment, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
- Conduct analyses at all levels of the total system product lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total system solutions that meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations summarizing experimental methods and findings
- Support preparation of research results for internal briefings and external publications
Requirements
- 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field
- 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field
- 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Experience developing System Requirements Review (SRR)
- Architecting SysML models in Cameo
- Producing detailed 3D CAD models and mechanical drawings
- Broad systems engineering experience creating System and Subsystem Requirements Documents (SRDs)
- Experience performing system performance analysis using MATLAB
