About the role
- Design, develop, deploy, test, document, and support RF radio communication systems and related computer systems within a global enterprise network.
- Create technical drawings and documentation covering system architecture, configuration procedures, installation steps, test plans, results, and troubleshooting processes.
- Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot RF radios, antennas, server hardware, touchscreen PCs, UPS/PDUs, KVMs, operating systems, and software applications.
- Configure and evaluate prototype RF and computing equipment, hardware, and software applications.
- Research and evaluate vendor hardware and software to support procurement and system implementation.
- Develop and execute installation and transition plans for both local and remote (CONUS/OCONUS) sites.
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on computer, network, radio, and antenna systems, including patches, firmware updates, hardware replacements, and antenna work.
- Support full life cycle engineering for communications and network solutions enabling voice and IP connectivity across training ranges.
Requirements
- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years’ relevant experience.
- Knowledge and experience with LOS and SATCOM RF communication systems and cryptographic support systems.
- Ability to perform physical installation and maintenance of network, computer, radio, and antenna systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to conceptualize overall system architectures and propose technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across RF environments, computer systems, and IP networks.
- Willingness to work periodic shift schedules (evenings, nights, weekends).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. civilian passport and hold a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
- Security+ CE certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
