About the role

  • responsible for providing Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) IT services for 5 enterprise networks and to customers located throughout the world.
  • manage teams responsible for administration , maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client and server infrastructure used to support enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services for the NITE.
  • lead and train junior personnel and have oversight of most IT Ops related efforts.
  • Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations.
  • Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team.
  • Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical and scope requirements of the assignment.
  • Keeps current on advances in the field of IT.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
  • Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Adheres to all IT governance policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field or 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Security+ or equivalent certification
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS or SCCM
  • Experience with Windows Servers 2016/2019 and Active Directory
  • Windows desktop operating systems (WIN10 SHB)
  • RedHat desktop operating systems (RHEL 7/8) experience highly desired
  • Experience digesting and implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Experience with VMware
  • Familiarity with VDI technologies and protocols
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and digest technical information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer focus, the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
