About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own analytics, modeling, reporting, and recommendations for Portfolio Management programs
- Design strategies for customer engagement and risk management, including upgrades and multicard
- Sharpen underwriting behind multicard offers
- Turn rewards upgrades and purchase incentives into tested strategies that increase engagement
- Design or refine underwriting and pricing for multicard and line-extending strategies
- Develop re-engagement strategies for low-usage customers
- Partner with risk, data science, and engineering to bring strategies to market
- Frame hypotheses, analyze data, and defend recommendations with stakeholders
- Apply business judgment to assess whether model outputs align with reality
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–5 years of experience in a highly analytical role, ideally in credit, lending, or line-extension strategy
- Analytical experience with a line-extending strategy such as credit limit increases, multicard, or another underwriting-heavy product
- Ability to problem solve end to end, from framing a hypothesis through data analysis and defending recommendations with stakeholders
- Familiarity with SQL and Python for data analysis
- Bachelor's or Master's in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field with a strong academic record
- Experience with credit cards or other consumer lending products, especially underwriting or portfolio management
- Experience building or maintaining risk models used for account-level decisions at scale
- Experience with rewards, loyalty, or engagement programs
- Demonstrated expertise in SQL or Python
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or Cursor
- Ability to work through others to achieve results
- Business judgment to identify when model outputs do not match reality and investigate why
- Tableau is a plus, not a requirement
